With MyChart, your health information is all in one place — right at your fingertips — and fully secure. From viewing visit summaries, test results, and immunization records to downloading or sharing your health information, MyChart puts your medical record at your fingertips. What will happen to my medical records that are in a different electronic health record through Adventist Health?
Most medical records will be transferred to MyChart. Patients will still be able to access your historical data via legacy portals.
Can I view, download, or send medical records?
Yes, you can conveniently access your medical records in MyChart’s Sharing Hub. There, you can view, download, or share your medical records with another provider, family member, close friend or caretaker.
Will my medical records be available in MyChart?
Most of your previous medical information will be available in MyChart, along with all new information from your visits, appointments, test results, medications, and other clinical records moving forward. However, some historical information from certain legacy patient portals may not be available.
Why can't I find a specific test result, note, or visit?
While most health information is available in MyChart, some historical records may not have transferred from previous systems. If you cannot find information you need, you may be able to access it through a previous patient portal or by requesting a copy of your records.
Which previous patient portals have information that will not transfer to MyChart?
The following legacy patient portals may contain information that will not be transferred to MyChart:
- FollowMyHealth for Adventist Health Tulare
- Selma Imaging Patient Portal for Adventist Health Selma
- Templeton Imaging Patient Portal for Adventist Health Twin Cities
- Elations Passport for Adventist Health Castle
- Athena Patient Portal for Adventist Health Sierra Vista and Adventist Health Twin Cities
Can I still access information in my previous patient portal?
Yes. Previous patient portals will remain available for viewing historical information through September 2027. However, you will no longer be able to send messages, request appointments, or complete other actions within those portals.
Which records are considered historical records?
Historical records include information from visits, test results, imaging studies, and clinical notes that were created in a legacy portal like FollowMyHealth, Imaging Portal, Elations Passport, or Athena Patient Portal.
What should I do if I cannot find a medical record in MyChart?
If information you need is not available in MyChart, you can:
- Access the record through your previous patient portal (through September 2027)
- Contact your provider's office for assistance
- Submit a Release of Information (ROI) request to obtain a copy of your medical records
Which patient portal should I use going forward?
MyChart is Adventist Health's primary patient portal and should be used to manage your ongoing healthcare needs, including scheduling appointments, reviewing test results, communicating with your care team, and managing your health information.
Can I download or save information from a previous patient portal?
Yes. If there is information you would like to keep for your records, we encourage you to download, print, or save it before legacy portals are retired.
When can I see my test results in MyChart?
With MyChart, you can view most test results as soon as they become available. Know that you will likely see results before your healthcare provider has had a chance to review them. After your provider reviews your results, you might see additional comments and interpretations in MyChart. If any concerns arise, your care team will follow up with you directly.
