Can you send me a new activation code if I have lost it, let it expire, or did not receive it?

If you don't have an activation code, you can request one on the sign-up page. You can also contact us at 833-AHCHART or 833-242-4278. After we verify your information, you will receive a new code.

My activation code does not work. What should I do?

For your security, your activation code expires after a set period of time and is no longer valid after the first time you use it. If you still have problems, call our MyChart patient support team at 833-AHCHART or 833-242-4278.

What device do I need to use MyChart?

You need access to a computer or mobile device connected to the internet and an up-to-date browser (such as Edge, Chrome, Firefox, or Safari). You can also use the MyChart mobile app on a mobile device.

How is information in MyChart secured?

We take great care to ensure your health information is kept private and secure. Access to information is controlled through secure activation codes, personal usernames, and passwords. Each person controls their password, and the account must be accessed using that password. On mobile, the account may also be accessed using Face ID or fingerprint login. You can also log in using a passkey, which securely verifies your identity using your device's built-in features, such as Face ID, fingerprint, or a PIN — without needing to enter a password or code each time.

Two-step verification is built in to help keep your account secure. When you log in to MyChart, you'll enter a code that's sent to you by email, text message, or an authenticator app, in addition to using your username and password. This quick extra step helps make sure it's really you signing in and keeps your health information safe even if someone else knows your password. For more information, check out this helpful video on two-step verification.

You might receive email or text notifications that contain links to MyChart. These notifications allow you to log in to MyChart securely using a link that expires after a short time. Keeping your MyChart account secure means keeping your phone number and email account secure. If you think that your phone number or email account may be compromised, you can change the phone number or email account on file on the Personal Information page in MyChart.

I already have a MyChart account at a different health organization. Am I able to link them together?

If you've been seen at another healthcare organization, you might be able to view information from that medical record right in MyChart. You might have heard of this feature referred to as Happy Together. This includes information from other organizations, such as:

  • Allergies
  • Care team

What will happen to my medical records that are in the OHSU Health MyChart portal?

Most of your previous medical information will be available in MyChart, along with all new information from your visits, appointments, test results, medications, and other clinical records moving forward. However, some historical information like messages with providers from the OHSU Health MyChart portal will not be available in the Adventist Health MyChart portal.

Can I view, download, or send medical records?

Yes, you can conveniently access your medical records in MyChart’s Sharing Hub. There, you can view, download, or share your medical records with another provider, family member, close friend or caretaker.

Why can't I find a specific test result, note, or visit?

Can I still access information in my OHSU Health MyChart patient portal?

Yes, your Adventist Health information will still be available. However, you will no longer be able to send messages, request appointments, or complete other actions for care at Adventist Health Portland or Adventist Health Columbia Gorge within the OHSU Health MyChart portal.

What should I do if I cannot find a medical record in MyChart?

If information you need is not available in the Adventist Health MyChart, you can:

  • Access the record through the OHSU MyChart portal.
  • Contact your provider's office for assistance
  • Submit a Release of Information (ROI) request to obtain a copy of your medical records

Which patient portal should I use going forward?

MyChart is Adventist Health's primary patient portal and should be used to manage your ongoing healthcare needs at Adventist Health Portland and Adventist Health Columbia Gorge, including scheduling appointments, reviewing test results, communicating with your care team, and managing your health information.

When can I see my test results in MyChart?

With Adventist Health MyChart, you can view most test results as soon as they become available. Know that you will likely see results before your healthcare provider has had a chance to review them. After your provider reviews your results, you might see additional comments and interpretation in MyChart. If any concerns arise, your care team will follow up with you directly.

Preparing for your visit with MyChart

MyChart makes it easier to prepare for your care by giving you access to appointment information, forms, and other important tasks before your visit.

Can I check in before my appointment?

Yes, MyChart offers eCheck-In so you can take care of pre-visit tasks from the comfort of your home. By completing eCheck-In before your visit, you can save time upon arrival, spend less time waiting, reduce paperwork, and enjoy a more convenient and efficient experience.

When you arrive for your appointment, log in to MyChart and confirm your arrival. This will automatically check you in, allowing you to relax and wait for your name to be called.

If you did not complete all of your eCheck-In tasks, you will be prompted to finish the eCheck‐In process in the MyChart app or go to the front desk.

What about emergency or urgent care visits?

When you need care quickly, MyChart helps you find the nearest Urgent Care or Emergency Department, view current wait times, and let the care team know you're “On the Way” within the app. With real-time information at your fingertips, you can choose the best location for your needs and get care faster.

Do I still need to check in at the front desk if I complete eCheck-In?

No, if you have checked in with your MyChart account, you do not need to visit the front desk unless directed for additional information.

Will I receive reminders about my appointment?

Yes, you will receive notifications via SMS Text or email regarding information for upcoming appointments. You are also able to update how you receive these notifications by updating your preferences.

If I send a message to my provider, when can I expect a reply?

You will generally receive a response within 2 business days. Note that MyChart messages should not be used for urgent situations. Please contact your medical center if the situation requires immediate attention or dial 911 if it is an emergency.

Why are Adventist Health clinics no longer accepting physical payment, such as cash or check payments?

As part of efforts to improve security, simplify payment processes, and provide a more convenient billing experience, most Adventist Health clinics and medical offices are transitioning to an electronic payment model at our locations. You will continue to have multiple payment options available, including paying online with electronic payment methods or visiting a designated location for physical payments.

What payment methods are accepted?

Patients can continue to make payments using:

Yes. While many Adventist Health clinics no longer accept physical payments on site, patients can still make physical payments with cash or checks at designated hospital cashier locations where available. Clinic staff can direct you to the appropriate location.

Where can I make a physical payment with cash or checks?

Cash payments can be made at designated hospital cashier locations. If you need to pay with cash, please ask a staff member for the nearest cashier location and operating hours. Checks can be mailed to the address printed on your billing statement.

Can I still pay by check?

Yes, but only at specific locations in the hospital or by mailing your check to the address on your billing statement. Adventist Health clinics and medical offices will no longer accept in-person check payments. Please speak with your clinic if you have questions about available payment options.

Will this affect my appointment or care?

No. This change only affects how payments are accepted at the clinic. Your access to care, appointments, providers, and services will not be affected. Patients still have multiple payment options available.

What if I only have cash or a check to pay for my visit?

You will still receive care. Staff can explain available payment options and direct you to a designated cashier location that accepts physical payments like cash or checks. Patients will not be turned away because they are unable to make a payment at the clinic.

Who can I contact if I have questions about my bill or payment options?

If you have questions regarding billing, balances, statements, or payment options, please contact Adventist Health Customer Service at 877-248-6441. You may also use MyChart, our online health portal, to view account information and send billing-related questions.

More about MyChart for my family

MyChart proxy access allows you to access the medical records of your family members and others you care for, with their permission.

Can I view a family member's medical record in MyChart?

Yes, you can. MyChart proxy access allows you to access the medical records of your family members and others you care for, with their permission. You must be at least 18 years old to have proxy access to another person's medical record.

You might also want to grant a family member or friend access to your medical records when you need assistance managing your appointments and other medical needs. To give someone access to your medical record, grant access via a proxy invite through the Friends and Family Access page in MyChart.

The account holder will also need to choose an access class for their proxy and then verify the change. Adventist Health offers four options to choose from: Parent Accessing Child, Parent Accessing Teen, Full Access, and Clinical Access.

How do I get MyChart for my child, parent, or other person?

If you do not have a MyChart account of your own, you will need first to create your own account even if you are not a patient with Adventist Health. Then you can log in and set up a proxy account for your child or family member. Please speak with someone at your provider’s office via phone or during an appointment to get an activation code to begin this simple process.

Can my spouse and I share one MyChart account?

No, due to the sensitive nature of medical information, each person must have their own MyChart account.

How is proxy access to MyChart determined by a patient's age?

  • Children 12 and younger: Parents/guardians need a MyChart account of their own, then they can add the child to their account and connect to their records. Only parents or legal guardians may request access to their child’s account. You can get proxy access online, or by visiting, or calling their provider’s office.  In California, parents will receive information about the change in proxy settings on the within 30 days of the minor’s 12th birthday.

  • Age 18: On your child’s 18th birthday, their MyChart automatically becomes an adult account. They will have to follow instructions for adult proxy access in order to restore your access to their MyChart, and a release of information will need to be filled out.
  • Adults: For you to gain parent or caregiver proxy access to another person’s medical information, the patient must fill out and submit a release of information form to grant your access.

Once I have been granted access, how do I view other people’s MyChart?

Once you have proxy access, you can view those additional health records from your own MyChart account. Just click the tab on the top right of your account to switch between accounts.

Technical questions

I forgot my username or password. What should I do?

If you're having trouble logging in, click the "Forgot login information?" link below the login fields for assistance. You will go through two-step verification to verify your identity so you can recover your username or password. You can also contact our MyChart patient support team at 833-AHCHART or 833-242-4278  to request assistance.

I didn't receive my two-step verification code. What should I do?

Try checking the spam or junk folders in your email. If the email with your code is not there, try clicking Resend Code. If you still didn't receive the email, it could be that your account has a different email address on file. If you have multiple email accounts, check one of the others to see if the verification code was sent there instead. If none of your accounts received the email, it could be that we don't have an email address on file. If this is the case, call our MyChart patient support team at 833-AHCHART or 833-242-4278 for quick support.

I was logged out of MyChart. What happened?
