Residency Programs

Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship

We are a preeminent program for research and education in orthopedics and sports medicine, stemming from the legacy of the forefathers of sports medicine, Robert Kerlan, MD, and Frank Jobe, MD, who established the first Orthopedic Surgery Sports Medicine Fellowship Program in the nation. Recognized for our medical breakthroughs and innovation to enhance treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery of patients, the program continues to evolve through a partnership with Adventist Health.

Over 50 years of innovation in sports medicine

The Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship is an expansion and outgrowth of the country’s largest, longest running, and most respected Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship program that began five decades ago that has grown to also include a fellowship in adult shoulder and elbow reconstruction that has served nearly 400 alumni globally.
