Residency Programs

How to Apply

At Adventist Health Glendale, we offer three residency programs in medicine. Residents gain a comprehensive experience grounded in excellence and compassion. Each program has a specific application process for prospective residents.

Pharmacy resident application requirements

The following is a list of minimum requirements that a candidate must meet to be considered for selection:

  • Graduate or candidates for graduation at an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited degree program, or one in the process of pursuing accreditation, or have a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) certificate from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP).
  • Current GPA of at least 3.0 on the standardized GPA scale or a “Pass” on each class or rotation if the program utilizes a “Pass/Fail” scale. Candidates who do not meet this requirement may still be considered for selection on a case-by-case basis.
  • Application submission via PhORCAS™ must include:
    • Three Letters of Recommendation (strongly encouraged to submit one letter from an employer, if applicable, and one letter from a strong clinical APPE rotation)
    • Official transcript(s), including College of Pharmacy
    • Letter of Intent (not to exceed 1 page)
    • Curriculum Vitae
  • Registered for the ASHP National Matching Service (NMS) Program
  • Ability to interview (onsite or virtual). Adventist Health Glendale PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency encourages applicants of all socioeconomical backgrounds to apply to our program. We understand the financial burden and time constraints an onsite interview may pose; therefore, we offer a virtual option of equal value.
