Program Summary
Program Description
PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency is a fifty-four (54) week term that begins late June to early July of the following year. The start and end dates vary yearly but will be updated in January of each calendar year. Finalized start dates will be in the resident contract.
There are four inpatient pharmacy resident positions available under this PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency. These positions are filled in accordance with the ASHP National Matching Service.
PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency uses a combination of required core and longitudinal rotations to achieve all ASHP CAGOs and facilitate the training of its residents. Each learning experience is defined in this Residency Manual and in PharmAcademic, the resident tracking platform. Residents will also get the opportunity to select elective rotation in their area of interest to promote growth and expansion of their clinical knowledge from a provider’s perspective.
This program promotes multidisciplinary practice for patient care. Residents will work with our physicians, nurses, medical residents, and other healthcare providers to develop into well-rounded practitioners.
