Adventist Health White Memorial offers numerous programs and services that are recognized for exceptional heart and vascular care. Here are a few noteworthy ones.
STEMI receiving center for heart attacks
Adventist Health White Memorial is recognized by LA county as a STEMI Receiving Center. This means we meet the most stringent standards set by Los Angeles County emergency services for providing emergency care to heart attack patients. Emergency medical personnel will skip non-SRC hospitals and bring patients directly to our emergency room for treatment.
The non-invasive vascular laboratory
Early detection of vascular disease is critical for preventing a crisis and stemming the progression of a harmful condition. Our non-invasive vascular laboratory uses the latest technologies to perform screenings and diagnosis of vascular disease. These non-invasive exams are quick and painless, plus covered by Medicare and other insurance plans. Adventist Health White Memorial offers free community screenings. Each patient receives a thorough evaluation, which includes a comprehensive health history, vascular exam, and a personalized discussion of risk factors, and risk factor management.
Cardiac rehabilitation program
Our cardiac rehabilitation program is certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). It is the only cardiac rehab program in Los Angeles to have earned this certification, and one of only eight in California to do so. This 12-week outpatient program is designed to strengthen and improve heart function following a heart attack, valve replacement, coronary bypass, percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), heart transplant, or stable angina. The program includes monitored exercise as well as counseling by dieticians, physicians, occupational therapists, nurses, and other health professionals who help our patients return to a healthier and more active lifestyle as safely and quickly as possible.

AHA Gold Plus Quality Award
Adventist Health White Memorial has earned the American Heart Association's “Get With The Guidelines” Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. The Gold Quality Award is the highest possible achievement and is based on adhering to AHA’s achievement indicators for at least 24 consecutive months.
