Spiritual Care
A faith-based approach to care
Hospitalization and health issues can bring feelings of fear and vulnerability for both patients and their loved ones. As a faith-based healthcare system, we provide the spiritual support you may need to cope with these challenges. Between our compassionate chaplains and peaceful chapel, we'll help you connect with the hope, comfort, and peace of mind that’s rooted in your spirituality.
Our spiritual support services
From in-room chaplain visits to our peaceful chapel, we offer various ways to find the spiritual support you may need.
Chaplain visits
Our on-site clinical chaplains are available to visit with you and/or your loved ones during your stay with us. Regardless of your spiritual or religious background, our chaplains can help by listening to your concerns, consoling you, praying with you, helping you work through hard decisions, or just lifting the weight you may be feeling.
Connecting with your clergy
For patients who would like to connect with a member of their faith or clergy, our team will try to facilitate a visit or call.
Chapel
Our chapel provides a peaceful space for you or your loved ones to pray or reflect. It is open 24/7 and located in the main concourse.
Partner with us to make an impact
Our team uses several funds to help us serve our patients and the community as a whole. We invite you to partner with us by donating to any of our charitable funds or by praying for our patients and staff. Your support makes a difference in the lives of many.
Our charitable funds
Our team works hard to bring spiritual and financial support to where it’s needed most in our community, whether at our hospital or in underserved neighborhoods. Your donation is greatly appreciated to help us meet the needs of the following funds:
- Chaplain's Fund: Helps to spiritually support our community, patients, and their families as well as other needs.
- Dupper Fund: Helps the needy in the community, as well as patients, and their families who may be going through financial struggles.
- Employee Assistance Donation Fund: Helps provide financial assistance to Adventist Health White Memorial employees in need.
- Online Donation: Select the fund of your choice in the “Program” section.
Submit a prayer request
Our chaplains are ready to pray for you or your loved ones. If you have a need, submit a prayer request.
