At Adventist Health While Memorial, we work to ensure our entire community has the support it needs to access care. That’s why our Community Resource Center is here, offering you helpful services like health insurance enrollment, health and wellness workshops, and much more.
Healthcare Enrollment
Healthcare enrollment can be confusing, so we're happy to help. We offer information, assistance, and referral services for you and your family. Our friendly bilingual counselors can take you step-by-step through the enrollment process, making sure you receive the health care coverage you need. Coverage assistance includes:

Wellness center programs
Our Community Resource Center offers our Boyle Heights and East Los Angeles community a variety of free services that can help you with your health and wellness, transportation, immigration, and more. Once you schedule an appointment, simply walk into our Community Resource Center and someone from our bilingual staff will be happy to show you what we offer and get you started. Our programs and services include:
Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF)
In collaboration with MAOF, our Community Center offers special assistance with the following:
- Taxi vouchers and bus tokens
- Assistance with completion and translation of the following forms: Social Security, Medicare, home energy applications, more
- Referrals for the following services: Immigration, meal sites, senior housing, social/recreational activities, Social Security, home delivered meals, legal services, Home Secure Program, Handy Worker Program, and transportation needs.
¡Vive Bien! Wellness Program
The ¡Vive Bien! Wellness Program is a free program to enhance your health and quality of life. The program offers free classes and activities including:
- Workshops with doctors, pharmacists, and health experts Information and tips on preventing and managing disease
- Exercise classes
- Nutrition classes and healthy cooking demonstrations
- Social activities and events
- Information and assistance with healthcare coverage and enrollment

Meet Araceli Marquez
Araceli Marquez, our Community Resource Center Coordinator, is always learning from the community surrounding the Adventist Health White Memorial hospital. In fact, her career began while she was still attending Cal State LA as an undergraduate studying public health. As our Center Coordinator and having obtained her Master's in Public Health, Araceli brings valuable and innovative ideas to our programs while coordinating how we serve our community members.
