Adult Outpatient Services
Partial hospitalization and other services to support ongoing healing
Our outpatient services help participants develop skills to support ongoing healing while living outside of the hospital setting. These programs are held at our center in Vallejo and designed to teach skills that will minimize or eliminate the need for inpatient hospitalization. Through outpatient partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient approaches, participants receive dedicated, ongoing support.
Outpatient care — exceptional expertise
Through our outpatient programs, we have created an emotionally safe environment where clients can learn to express often overwhelming emotions while learning more effective coping skills. In each setting, groups focus on continuing development and practice of coping skills, symptom management techniques and problem-solving capabilities. Aftercare planning is emphasized as participants gain increased levels of self-sufficiency.
When it comes to choosing an outpatient program for yourself, a loved one, or a client, the expertise of the treatment team is of critical importance. We bring together a tenured team of compassionate experts with extensive training and clinical experience.
About our partial hospitalization program
Through this program, participants engage in focused support Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. while remaining in their community and living situation.
Types of care and support provided
Various groups and approaches provided a whole-person approach to mental health, providing support that helps participants reach their potential in all areas of life.
Life skills group: This assists the individual in developing the coping skills necessary to manage functional deficits associated with serious and persistent mental illness within the freest environment possible.
Illness management: This educates and assists the individual in learning to identify and cope with the symptoms associated with serious and persistent mental illness. The goal is symptom reduction and maintenance of stability of symptoms.
Focus group: This intervention provides a group environment where individuals explore and process their feelings and problems about their diagnosis while encouraging each member to focus on issues that directly relate to relapse and/or recovery.
Medication education/health matters: Commonly facilitated by a registered nurse, this group session focuses on exploring how medications, side effects, diet and the use of drugs and/or alcohol affect various symptoms. The goal is to help each member understand and manage their individual medication regime in addition to developing a healthy lifestyle.
Individual therapy: Individual sessions between the client and the clinical staff focus on the development of a treatment plan and offering the client an opportunity to give feedback on their experience in the program.
Family therapy/case conference: This offers the individual the opportunity to hold family therapy and/or case conference sessions to support the client’s recovery on an as-needed basis.
Cognitive therapy: This therapy provides a framework from which the client can gain an understanding of the connections between thoughts, feelings and behaviors. The client will examine different ways to perceive and manage the thoughts, feeling and behaviors that tend to exacerbate their illness.

The program utilizes educational sessions on relevant topics, group therapy and individual therapy. Participants receive a given minimum of monthly assessments by an attending psychiatrist. Round-trip transportation for those participants who otherwise would not be able to attend treatment.
Program services

Cognitive therapy: Cognitive therapy that provides a framework from which the patients can gain an understanding of the connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviors that tend to exacerbate the illness.
