Adventist Health Portland Implements Two-Step Verification for MyChart Access
Beginning Saturday, April 12, all Adventist Health Portland MyChart accounts will require two-step verification to log in. This added security measure will enhance patient data protection and align with best practices for safeguarding sensitive information.
With two-step verification, MyChart users will need to confirm their identity in a second way after entering their password. They can choose to receive a one-time code via text message or email, or use an authenticator app to complete the login process.
Enrolling in two-step verification is simple:
- Log into MyChart on a mobile device or computer.
- Follow the prompt to set up two-step verification and click NEXT.
- Confirm or add an email or cellphone number for receiving verification codes.
- Choose to receive the code by text or email (an additional method can be added later).
- Enter the received code and click VERIFY to complete enrollment.
Each time a user logs in, they will enter a new one-time code to verify their identity. This update applies to all OHSU Health MyChart accounts, including those at Adventist Health Portland, Adventist Health Columbia Gorge, OHSU, and Hillsboro Medical Center.
