Ensuring a safe and healing environment for all

At Adventist Health Howard Memorial, we value the importance of support from family and loved ones as part of the healing process, that’s why we welcome visitors to our facility. For the safety, security, and wellness of our patients, staff and visitors, we kindly ask that you adhere to our policies and procedures when visiting. Please call ahead to confirm current guidelines or if you have any questions about visiting.

Visiting hours and policies

You may visit a patient at any time throughout the week. Children under 14 are not allowed to visit, though exceptions may be made by the nurse in charge. Please check-in at the nurses’ station before proceeding to the patient’s room. Visitors may be asked to step out during tests, treatments, or when medical staff need to attend to the patient. Please respect and abide by the following other policies and requests:

  • Stay home if you are sick or just beginning to experience symptoms.
  • Wash your hands before entering a patient’s room. Sanitizers are provided at multiple locations around the hospital.
  • Please wear appropriate attire, including shirts, and shoes.
  • Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the hospital grounds. 
  • Remain calm and quiet to support patient well-being. 
  • Patient information is shared only with designated family members by the physician.
  • To maintain patient privacy, please refrain from taking photos, or videos while in our facilities.
