Advanced clinical care

Our interventional gastroenterology encompasses a variety of advanced, minimally invasive endoscopic procedures to provide patients with alternatives to more invasive treatments. Learn more below.

Advanced interventional procedures

We offer advanced, minimally invasive procedures designed to diagnose and treat complex conditions with precision – while helping you avoid more invasive surgeries whenever possible.

Our wide range of interventional gastroenterology procedures include:

Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)

This specialized procedure helps diagnose and treat issues in the bile ducts and pancreas, such as gallstones, inflammation, or tumors. Using a tiny camera on a flexible tube, your doctor can carefully examine and address concerns, all while you remain comfortably sedated.

Endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR)

A minimally invasive option for removing abnormal or precancerous tissue from the digestive tract. Instead of surgery, a thin wire snare is used to carefully remove the tissue while sealing the area at the same time.

Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)

By combining endoscopy and ultrasound, this procedure provides detailed images of your digestive tract and surrounding organs. It helps diagnose and assess abdominal pain, pancreatic disease, cancer spread, and swallowing disorders.

Luminal stenting

For patients experiencing blockages in the esophagus, stomach, intestines, or colon, a stent can help create space and restore function. This procedure can provide relief from obstructions caused by tumors, or other growths, often reducing the need for emergency surgery.

Gastrointestinal surgical solutions

When digestive conditions require more than medication or lifestyle changes, gastrointestinal (GI) surgery can provide relief and restore health. Our expert surgical team provides advanced, minimally invasive, and traditional surgical options tailored to your specific needs.

Common conditions that may require GI surgery include:

  • Appendicitis
  • Digestive cancers (including pancreatic, liver, and colorectal cancer)
  • Esophageal disorders
  • Hepatobiliary conditions (affecting the liver, bile ducts, and gallbladder)
  • Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
  • Liver disease
  • Obesity-related conditions
