At Adventist Health, our advanced imaging exams give your doctors valuable insights for accurate diagnoses, early detection of diseases, and personalized treatment plans. Whatever imaging you need, our technologists will make sure you are comfortable and informed during your exam, while our board-certified radiologists provide precise readings, and work closely with your doctor to ensure you get the care you need.

Comprehensive imaging from head to toe

Our imaging exams are used to detect a wide range of injuries, illnesses, or diseases. Our technologies include:

  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  • Bone densitometry (DEXA) scan
  • 3D mammography
  • X-ray
  • Ultrasound

Advanced breast imaging

3D mammography allows radiologists to examine breast tissue layer by layer with unmatched clarity and detail, enabling detection of even the smallest tumors and a reduction in false positives. This technique is especially beneficial for women with dense breast tissue and offers more accurate early cancer detection and treatment planning. If further imaging is needed, we offer breast MRI and breast ultrasound capabilities.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound uses high frequency sound waves to create images of internal organs and structures, including the heart, blood vessels, and uterus where a developing child can be observed. The test is performed with a handheld device that is moved along the outside of your body. Our licensed ultrasound sonographers have years of experience with ultrasound imaging and work in conjunction with our board-certified radiologists to provide the best possible care for our patients.

Magentic resonance imaging (MRI)

An MRI uses radio waves to produce detailed, high-resolution images of the body’s internal structures. With this test, the patient lies on a bed inside a tube shaped structure that scans the body, enabling a non-invasive way for medical professionals to examine internal organs, tissues, and skeletal systems for diagnosing various healthcare conditions. At Adventist Health, we use the latest MRI technology to ensure accurate images along with patient safety and comfort.

Bone densitometry (DEXA) scan

Bone densitometry, commonly referred to as a DEXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) scan, is an imaging technique used to measure bone mineral density (BMD). This non-invasive procedure helps assess an individual’s risk of osteoporosis and fractures. DEXA scans are quick, painless, and involve minimal radiation exposure, making them a preferred method for evaluating bone health.
