Services from pregnancy through post-partum
From the moment you’re pregnant to the months following your delivery, our team is here to help you and your child stay healthy and safe.
Prenatal care and support
Pregnancy often comes with a mix of excitement and concern. Whether it’s your first time or you’ve gone through it before, experiencing labor, and having a baby can be nerve racking. We’ll do our best to put you at ease and make sure you're prepared. This includes assisting you in your preferences for delivery and working to align your birthing experience with your vision.
While you prepare for your big day, your OB/GYN will be focused on the health of you and your baby. Through a series of appointments, your OB/GYN will perform exams and tests to make sure both you and your baby are doing well. This is when you will have your ultrasound and experience the joy of seeing your little one inside of you. Your OB/GYN will also provide treatment should any complications arise, and offer advice on everything from nutrition to exercises that can positively impact your pregnancy.
In addition to the support of your OB/GYN, you will also have access to our Bright Start program for education and guidance.
Your delivery experience
Your delivery will take place at Adventist Health Clear Lake’s women’s care unit, an intimate setting where our specially trained staff ensure your delivery is as comfortable as possible.
You will have a private, cozy, fully equipped room for your labor and delivery. From birthing balls and tubs to on-call anesthesiologists for epidurals, we have a range of options to support you. Families, including partners, grandparents, siblings, and others who are special to you, are welcome to visit and support you as well. Your baby will spend time in our nursery being monitored by our experienced nurses, but we will make sure you have plenty of time together for bonding and breastfeeding
Post-partum care and support
When you and your baby are ready to return home, we can offer a variety of resources to help you with caring for yourself and your child. This includes help with breastfeeding, safe sleeping, nutrition, and the possibility of post-partum depression. We will also provide newborn screenings, routine check-ups, and any medical care you may need. Your first year together with your newborn should be a precious and memorable one filled with love and little milestones. We’ll do everything we can to support you on your journey.
