Adventist Health Clear Lake is committed to providing a welcoming, safe, and healing environment. To ensure the safety, security, and well-being of our patients, staff and visitors, we kindly request that you adhere to our policies and procedures. Please call ahead to confirm current guidelines or if you have any questions.

Visiting hours and policies

When visiting a patient, please follow our guidelines and policies below to help us provide the best care possible:

  • Visitor check-in: Visitors must stop at the entrance desk to register and be issued a visitor day pass to wear during their visit.
  • Visitor health: For the safety of all, visitors showing symptoms of illness should refrain from visiting.
  • Children: Children under 14 years of age are not allowed. Individual exceptions may be approved by nursing leadership.
  • Dress code: Visitors are asked to wear appropriate attire, including shirts and shoes.
  • Smoke-free campus: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the hospital grounds.
  • Visitor limit: Each patient is allowed two visitors in their room or in the emergency room at a time. All other visitors must wait in designated waiting areas or the hospital café.
  • Quiet environment: Please help us maintain a calm, quiet space to support patient well-being.
  • Care time: Visitors may be asked to step out during tests, treatments or when medical staff need to attend to the patient.
  • Confidentiality: Patient information is shared only with designated family members by the physician. We ask that you respect patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Women’s care: Our staff will determine visitation opportunities based on each patient’s situation during their stay with us.
  • Surgery patients: Surgery patients are allowed one visitor for pre-op and post-op appointments, and it must be the same visitor for both appointments. The visitor may wait in designated waiting areas during a procedure.
