Emergency services

Should you experience a severe head injury, symptoms of a stroke, seizures, or any other alarming symptoms, have an ambulance bring you to our emergency room immediately. Adventist Health Castle is a primary stroke center and you will be given prompt attention from a team that’s specifically skilled at assessing and treating life-threatening symptoms and situations.

Treating strokes

If you experience a stroke, our physicians and emergency staff will work quickly to stabilize you and minimize permanent damage.

Once in our care, you will receive tests to determine the type and severity of your stroke and to guide the best course of treatment, which might include medication, surgery, or endovascular procedures designed to clear your arteries. Following treatment, you will begin a tailored rehabilitation program designed to help you regain physical or cognitive functions that may have been impaired due to your stroke.

Education and Support

BE FAST to identify the signs of a stroke

Just like cardiac arrest, every second matters when it comes to stroke. Learning how to spot one is critical and some experts agree that it’s a skill as important as CPR. If you think you or a loved one might be having a stroke, call 911 immediately. Time is of the essence.
