Workforce readiness program

At Adventist Health Castle, we’re committed to supporting our community in ways beyond providing healthcare. Our Workforce Readiness Program provides career training and support to individuals who have experienced hardships that hinder their career development. Together with our partners, we provide the training and skills needed to help participants enter or re-join the workforce and achieve their dreams.

Partnering to create jobs and make a difference

Funded by the City and County of Honolulu along with the Harold K.L. Castle Foundation, our Workforce Readiness Program brings community partners together to provide training and opportunities for individuals who have career ambitions but just need some help getting a leg up due to life circumstances. Together with our partners, our goal is to help participants secure higher-wage jobs across various sectors.

At Adventist Health Castle, our role involves developing skills and creating career pathways in healthcare. We provide participants with on-the-job training and hospital experience through volunteer opportunities, paid internships, clinical and non-clinical open job positions and our COPE Scholar Program. We also help participants with resume and interview preparation.
