Medication assisted treatment (MAT)

This program provides prescription medications for curbing cravings, managing withdrawal symptoms and for on-going maintenance during recovery. We offer a range of medications for quitting opioids, alcohol, stimulants, benzodiazepines, and other substances.

We also provide education on proper usage, side effects, and other important information relating to your medication. Medication will be provided only after proper evaluation and in coordination with your primary care physician, but may be available immediately depending on your situation.

Naloxone (Narcan) Distribution Program (NDP)

Naloxone (Narcan) is a medicine that rapidly reverses an opioid overdose and is a life-saving treatment in emergency situations. Adventist Health Ukiah Valley is the first hospital in the area to provide Naloxone free of charge at our hospital and for home emergency use to save lives. At our emergency department, we provide Naloxone training and free Narcan Overdose kits to anyone who needs it, whether you are struggling with opioid addiction yourself or are a friend or family member. No appointment needed, no questions asked.

To receive your free narcan overdose kit, please call our substance use navigator or come to our emergency department.
