Academic excellence, community-based training
Adventist Health Ukiah Valley’s American Society of Health-System Pharmacists® (AHSP) -accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program provides residents with a comprehensive and enriching training experience. Our residents are passionate, motivated and united in our mission to bring health and wellness to our underserved communities.
About our Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program
Our program is designed in alignment with ASHP standards to develop residents into confident, well-rounded clinicians capable of providing safe, effective, and compassionate care. As the biggest medical facility in the area, the only Stroke Center and Level III Trauma Center, we serve a diverse population and serve as the regional hub for both Lake and Mendocino counties. Pharmacy residents graduate from our residency program prepared to work independently in clinical practice.
Why choose our Pharmacy Residency?
Our pharmacy residents work side-by-side with our medical team, including through morning reports and grand rounds. The pharmacy curriculum is designed to provide a rich, hands-on learning experience in clinical practice. Residents can even tailor portions of the curriculum to meet their unique needs and interests.
As part of a facility deeply committed to education, we also host a Family Medicine Physician Residency and a Nursing Residency Program, fostering an environment of interprofessional learning and collaboration across disciplines.
