Will surgeries be impacted during construction?
No. Surgeries will continue throughout the construction process without interruptions or delays in patient care.
How will the project improve patient care and surgical operations?
The upgrades aim to optimize operational workflows, creating greater efficiency for both elective and non-elective surgeries. The improvements will ensure uninterrupted, high-quality care during and after construction.
What is included in the surgery department expansion and remodel project?
The project includes a complete expansion and remodel of the surgery department, featuring an increase in operating rooms from three to four, expanded pre- and post-operative bed capacity, enhanced equipment storage, updated surgery team offices, and improved break rooms. It will also address foundation cracks and meet seismic earthquake compliance standards.
What is the timeline and funding for the project?
The $16.8 million project, funded by the Adventist Health Capitol Management Fund, will begin in winter 2024/2025 and is expected to be completed by 2027.
