Nominate a Caregiver
Share your extraordinary nurse experience
The DAISY Award is an international program that celebrates the extraordinary compassion and skillful care given by nurses every day. Adventist Health Tillamook is proud to have our own DAISY Award recipients who personify our dedication to exceptional patient care and are recognized as role models in our nursing community. If you’ve experienced or witnessed a nurse going above and beyond, we’d appreciate your nomination for this year’s award.
More about The DAISY Award
The DAISY Foundation was established in 1999 by the family of J. Patrick Barnes, who died of complications of the auto-immune disease Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia Purpura (ITP) at the age of 33. During Pat’s hospitalization, his family was awestruck by the care and compassion his nurses provided not only for Pat, but for everyone in his family. When creating a foundation in Pat's memory, the family wanted to recognize nurses everywhere who make an enormous difference in the lives of so many people.
