Advanced screenings and diagnostics

At Adventist Health St Helena, we emphasize prevention and early detection of cancer. Detecting cancer in its earliest stages enables easier treatment for the best outcomes, minimal side effects, and less chance of recurrence.

Leading-edge treatments and procedures

Adventist Health St. Helena offers every possible treatment option for breast cancer. If you are diagnosed with cancer, your oncologist will walk you through your options, and develop a personalized treatment plan based on the extent of your cancer, and other factors.

For patients who require surgery, your surgeon will preserve as much healthy breast tissue as possible. For lumpectomies, we use the minimally invasive procedures for less scarring and faster recovery. We also offer oncoplastic surgery to remove tumors and rearrange breast tissue to improve the appearance of the breast after surgery.

Prior to surgery, we use Magseed technology which enables us to insert a small marker the size of a seed into the tumor. This marker helps guide the surgeon for optimal precision and accuracy. We are the only hospital in the region that offers this innovative technology.

Supporting the whole you: body, mind, and spirit

A breast cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, leaving you with many questions as well as feelings of vulnerability, and anxiety. But rest assured, the cancer team at Adventist Health St. Helena will support you all the way - physically, emotionally and spiritually.

It continues with our compassionate oncologists, nurses, and technicians who will always be there to answer questions, and make you comfortable throughout your treatment.
