Sierra Care Center offers a safe, comfortable environment for residents with Medi-Cal insurance who do not need a full-scale hospital setting but still require the ongoing supervision and care of experienced medical professionals. Our team is dedicated to caring for our residents as we would our own families — with compassion, kindness, and steadfast attention to their wellness.
Comprehensive care with all your needs in mind
At Adventist Health Sonora, we develop personalized care plans for our residents upon admission. Our plans are based upon our whole person approach that considers the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our residents. All care is provided by our licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants in conjunction with our knowledgeable medical staff. Our services include:
Care center information
Our 68-bed care center is a welcoming environment where residents and their loved ones will feel comfortable, safe, and cared for at every turn. In addition to our outstanding care and medical attention, we offer a variety of dining and activity options to meet our residents’ preferences and bring joy to their lives.
Visiting hours
Visitors are welcome between the hours of 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Pets
We know that pets are an important part of the family and add to the quality of life for many of us. Pets may visit provided they are well behaved, kept on a leash, and supervised at all times.
Accommodations
Our residents are cared for in a spacious and comfortable environment. Shared rooms are available, and assessments are made upon admission to place the patient in the most appropriate accommodation. Each room has a bathroom, adjustable bed, and television with cable.
Dining options
Dining options for patients and residents include both community and in-room dining. Our dietary staff is knowledgeable and creative, providing meals that meet specific nutritional requirements and help our residents feel more at home with appealing menu selections.
Activities
Our facility provides daily activity sessions seven days per week, with a variety of activities such as musical entertainment, presentations by historians, dancing, and gardening, plus visits from local students, pet therapists, VFW members, and religious groups. We also organize planned outings for residents who are up for getting out and about. All activities are designed to enhance our residents’ quality of life by meeting their social, spiritual, and physical needs.
