Occupational therapy

Occupational therapy addresses various physical, cognitive, psychosocial, sensory, and perceptual issues to help patients function better in their life and work. Our occupational therapists provide services through inpatient, outpatient, and home care.

Physical therapy

Physical therapy is designed to help you recover from injury, improve mobility, and achieve optimal health by addressing challenges such as pain and movement limitations. With our proven techniques and treatments, we can restore the motion, balance, and comfort you need to pursue the activities you love or better manage any chronic conditions. Our physical therapists provide services through inpatient and outpatient care.

Speech/language pathology

Our speech-language pathology addresses various speech and language disorders to help patients improve their communication and social skills. We also help patients with swallowing disorders so they can eat and breathe with greater ease, safety, and enjoyment. Our speech/language pathologists provide our services through inpatient, outpatient, and home care. 

We treat children and adolescents who have: 
  • Experienced traumatic brain injury and need to relearn memory and cognitive strategies, oral/motor strength, and safe-swallowing strategies 
  • Feeding and swallowing problems related to their oral/motor development, and/or sensitivity to tastes, and textures 
  • Frequent ear infections that result in delayed speech development 
  • Hearing problems 
  • Persistent tongue-thrust causing orthodontic problems 
  • Prolonged hoarseness, breathy voice, vocal nodules 
  • A stutter 
  • Swallowing problems 
  • A voice that does not change to the appropriate pitch during puberty 
We treat adults who: 
  • Have had a stroke (aphasia, dysarthria, dysphagia, cognitive problems) 
  • Have had a traumatic brain injury 
  • Are pre- or post-laryngectomy 
  • Are post-oral/pharyngeal cancer 
  • Are hard of hearing and need to relearn communication strategies 
  • Have Alzheimer's or dementia 
  • Have swallowing problems
