If you struggle with addiction, you know how hard it is to quit on your own. The fact of the matter is addiction is a chronic disease, and just like other illnesses, it is best addressed through treatment and the support of medical professionals. Our board-certified addiction and family medicine physician, Dr. Ariana Abid, has the experience, compassion, and solutions to help you quit for good. At her clinic, you’ll find a safe, non-judgmental space for you to talk about your substance use and receive the care you deserve.

Treatment for the most common addictions

Our addiction services cover the most common addictions with the exception of smoking and vaping. Through our holistic approach and personalized care plans, we can help you quit and recover from any of the following:

  • Alcohol
  • Benzodiazepines
  • Opioids
  • Stimulants
  • Any other illicit drugs

Treatment tailored to you

People have all sorts of reasons and triggers for substance use. They also respond differently to methods of quitting. What works for one person may fail for others depending on a variety of factors. That’s why Dr. Abid develops personalized care plans specifically tailored to her patients.

Our holistic approach

Dr Abid uses a holistic approach to develop unique and comprehensive care plans for each patient with the goal of improving safety and quality of life for individuals with chronic pain, opioid, sedative, or alcohol dependence, misuse or use disorders. Her focus is to uncover, target, and treat the underlying cause of pain and substance use.

A dynamic treatment approach may include education, psychological therapy, nutrition, exercise, and replacement of high-risk medications with safer options. In some cases, patients may be referred for more traditional interventional pain management such as injections or surgery.

Medications for opioid dependence

Opioid use disorder is a high-risk chronic illness, and it is treatable. We offer medication treatments for opioid dependence using Suboxone, a safe medication combining buprenorphine and naloxone. Suboxone:

  • Relieves cravings for opioids
  • Resolves opioid withdrawal
  • Normalizes the brain, producing little to no euphoria
  • Can be an excellent treatment for patients with opioid use disorder and chronic pain
