Learn more about how we care for you below.

Prevention and early detection

The first step in supporting you is preventing cancer or detecting it early enough for successful treatment. That’s why we offer a full range of the latest screening and imaging capabilities, including:

  • Genetic testing to determine if you are at risk of cancer based on your genes or family history, so you can take measures to lower your risk, from lifestyle changes to dietary modifications.
  • Advanced imaging technologies that enable us to detect even the smallest, early-stage cancers, and avoid false positives. This includes 3D mammography, MRIs, PET/CT scans, molecular imaging, radiomics, and endoscopies.

Leading expertise with advanced treatments

If you are diagnosed with cancer, you can rest assured you’re in the best hands with our expert team that is dedicated to helping you win the fight. It begins with your nurse navigator, who will coordinate your care and serve as a liaison for you and your family members throughout your care journey. It continues with our experienced oncologists and compassionate support team who will collaborate on your care and treat you with the urgent attention you deserve for the best possible outcomes.

We offer all the latest technologies, treatments, and procedures for effectively treating cancer, including minimally invasive surgery for optimal precision and faster recovery times. Depending on your diagnosis, your oncologist will walk you through your options and partner with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that’s specific to your needs and wishes.

That’s why everyone on your team will support the whole you and why we offer a full range of services to help you and your loved ones cope with the challenges you may face. Our support includes:

  • Physical therapy to relieve side effects and regain strength
  • Nutritional counseling to support your healing and stamina
  • Relaxation therapies such as acupuncture and massage
  • Spiritual support from chaplains
  • Emotional support and counseling from social workers
  • Support groups and classes with other cancer patients
  • Fertility counseling and preservation
  • Caregiver and family counseling
  • Palliative care to help patients with advanced cancer manage symptoms and improve quality of life

Tumor board

To support you and your oncologist in making the best-informed decisions, we have a team of cancer specialists from UC Davis Health and our own hospital who meet weekly to review complex cases and weigh in on recommendations for treatment. Physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other staff also review routine cases to ensure the best possible, whole-person care.

Access to clinical trials

A clinical trial is a research study that tests new innovative cancer treatments on patients who qualify. Through our affiliation with UC Davis Health, we keep you informed about any trials that might benefit you. Your oncologist will determine if you qualify for a particular trial.
