Community involvement is at the heart of our mission at Adventist Health and Rideout. We are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the Yuba-Sutter community and surrounding region through meaningful outreach programs. By supporting initiatives that address local health concerns, we strive to create a stronger, healthier community for everyone we serve.

Community programs and resources

Community screenings
Adventist Health and Rideout regularly offers health screenings to the public at little or no charge by participating and hosting health fairs. These screenings may include:
- Cholesterol
- Glucose
- Blood pressure
- Height and weight with body mass index (BMI)
- Prostate screening
Rideout healthy
Rideout Healthy offers classes and resources to help patients and community members make the right choices to remain healthy, prevent problems, and achieve a better quality of life.
Speakers bureau
Adventist Health and Rideout offers a free speakers bureau of physicians and other medical specialists covering a wide range of topics. Speakers offer presentations at community events, service clubs, community organizations, and in interviews with the media. Topics typically covered include:
- Adventist Health and Rideout Regional Medical Center
- Adventist Health and Rideout Family Birthing Center
- Lung cancer
- Heart health
- Stroke prevention
- Living with diabetes
- Weight loss / bariatric surgery
- Nutrition
- Grieving

Cancer support resources
Adventist Health and Rideout offers compassionate support resources to help patients and their families navigate the challenges of cancer. From support groups and educational workshops to counseling, and wellness programs, we provide the guidance and care needed to promote healing and hope. Our goal is to ensure that no one faces cancer alone by offering the resources needed for strength and resilience.
