Spiritual Care
A faith-based approach to care
Physical health and wellbeing are significantly improved when spiritual health is also improved. For more than 120 years, chaplains and caregivers at Adventist Health Portland have ministered to the spiritual and emotional needs of patients in the medical center and outpatient settings. Our belief in whole person care is core to our mission of living God’s love by inspiring health, wholeness and hope.
Meeting your spiritual needs
Our chaplains and spiritual care volunteers are available 24/7 to provide spiritual and emotional support for patients, family members, and caregivers. Our services are for those of any faith or of no faith at all. We can also connect you with someone from your own faith tradition when you prefer. In addition to regular visits to patients, our team is available for:
Our chapel and meditation garden
Sometimes you need a quiet space. Our chapel is a peaceful space available for quiet times of reflection, meditation, and prayer. We also have an outdoor mediation garden available.
