Michael Petrovich, MD, receives Adventist Health Portland’s 2025 Crystal Angel Award
Adventist Health Portland is proud to announce that Michael Petrovich, MD has been named the recipient of the 2025 Crystal Angel Award, the organization’s annual honor recognizing a medical provider who exemplifies the core values of compassion, integrity and respect.
The Crystal Angel Award is presented each year to an exceptional provider whose actions reflect Adventist Health’s mission of inspiring health, wholeness and hope. This year’s honoree, Dr. Petrovich, was nominated by his peers for his extraordinary commitment to Emergency room patients and colleagues alike.
In their nominations, colleagues described Dr. Petrovich as a provider who treats his patients with such care and praised his amazing bedside manner. They noted that he consistently goes above and beyond to ensure every patient is treated with dignity and respect.
“Dr. Petrovich’s ability to listen deeply, explain complex medical information in a clear and comforting way, and provide emotional support during vulnerable moments truly sets him apart,” one peer wrote. “He not only impacts his patients, but also serves as a role model for his peers and younger medical professionals.”
Beyond his clinical excellence, Dr. Petrovich is recognized for his humility, kindness, and unwavering dedication to ethical practice. In a healthcare environment that can sometimes feel rushed and impersonal, his presence is a reminder of the profound difference a truly caring doctor can make in the lives of patients and families.
