Adventist Health Portland Announces Visiting Artist Series Celebrating Our Diverse Community
Adventist Health Portland is proud to announce the launch of its inaugural Visiting Artist Series, a new initiative designed to celebrate the vibrant diversity of our community through art. Local artists of all backgrounds and mediums are invited to submit their work by November 15 for consideration. The Visiting Artist Series aims to foster a healing environment through the power of art while highlighting the talents of our local artists. Submissions are welcome in all artistic mediums, including but not limited to paintings, drawings, photography and mixed media that connect to our theme of celebrating our diverse community.
“Our hospital is more than just a place for treatment—it’s a space where community comes together,” said Terry Johnsson, Mission Integration Executive. “We are excited to showcase the creativity that exists in our community and to give local artists a platform to share their stories, perspectives, and cultural heritage through their art.”
The selected artworks will be on display in a high-traffic area of the hospital, accompanied by information about each artist and a sale price if they are interested in selling, ensuring their work receives the recognition it deserves. In addition to the exhibition, Adventist Health Portland will host a small artist reception at the start of the display period to honor the contributing artists and their work.
Submission Details:
- Deadline for Submissions: November 15
- Mediums: All mediums are welcome, including paintings, photography, sculptures, digital prints, and mixed media.
- Requirements: Several photos of each piece of artwork and dimensions of each
- Exhibition Duration: Six months
