PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Application Process
Applicant Requirements
The following is a list ofminimumrequirements that a candidate must meet to be considered for selection:
- Graduate or candidates for graduation at an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited degree program, or one in the process of pursuing accreditation, or have a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) certificate from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP).
- Current GPA of at least 3.0 on the standardized GPA scale or a “Pass” on each class or rotation if the program utilizes a “Pass/Fail” scale. Candidates who do not meet this requirement may still be considered for selection on a case-by-case basis.
- Application submission via PhORCAS™ must include:
- Three Letters of Recommendation (strongly encouraged to submit one letter from an employer, if applicable, and one letter from a strong clinical APPE rotation)
- Official transcript(s), including College of Pharmacy
- Letter of Intent (not to exceed 1 page)
- Curriculum Vitae
- Registered for the ASHP National Matching Service (NMS) Program
- Ability to interview (onsite or virtual). Adventist Health Glendale PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency encourages applicants of all socioeconomical backgrounds to apply to our program. We understand the financial burden and time constraints an onsite interview may pose; therefore, we offer a virtual option of equal value.
