Expert care that keeps you close to home

Residents of San Luis Obispo County will find expert, experienced emergency care at Adventist Health Sierra Vista and Adventist Health Twin Cities. Both hospitals have board-certified physicians and staff who specialize in emergency medicine, ranging from life-threatening conditions like heart attack and stroke to broken bones, or that illness you just can’t shake.

And it’s good to know that if you require trauma services, Adventist Health Sierra Vista provides the SLO County's only Level III Trauma Center, working side-by-side with our community’s first responders to treat critically ill and injured patients.

When you or your family experiences an unexpected illness, our specialty care is here for you. We provide emergency services for expectant parents through the area’s only Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and an inpatient pediatric unit — ensuring that even our littlest community members receive the compassionate, expert care they deserve.

In addition, we offer high-level neuroscience care in partnership with the subspecialists at UCSF Health. This collaboration ensures timely access to critical neurological resources during a stroke or other neurological emergencies, giving patients the best chance at recovery.
