Spiritual Care

Providing compassionate and holistic care

Adventist Health believes that a vital part of caring for the whole person is spiritual care. For over 100 years, chaplains and caregivers of Adventist Health have ministered to the spiritual needs of medical center patients. We’re here to support your whole self during your hospital stay.

Caring for the whole person is our mission

Our belief in whole person care is core to our mission of sharing God's love by providing physical, mental, and spiritual healing. Physical health and well-being are significantly enhanced when a spiritual component is recognized. This observation is increasingly substantiated by medical evidence.

The mission and spiritual care team are on-call 24 hours, 7 days a week. Our care services include bedside visits, spiritual counseling and support, crisis support, individual or group prayers, referrals to community clergy as needed, and worship and devotional services.

Chaplain office hours

Monday – Thursday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
