Family Medicine Tulare

Thank you for taking out time to get to know us at the Adventist Health Tulare Family Medicine Residency Program.

Dr. Shruti Joseph has been part of the Adventist Health family for most of the past 14 years since beginning her residency training at UCSF Fresno Family & Community Medicine - Adventist Health Selma Pathway. Upon completing residency in 2014 she received the prestigious STFM Resident Teacher Award. She has since served as residency core faculty physician gaining experience in curriculum development, grant writing, clinic initiative implementation, and physician wellness. Dr. Joseph currently serves on the Clinical Competency Committee, Residency EHR optimization committee, research committee, recruitment & retention committee, and the wellness committee.

Her work is driven by a deep commitment to addressing health disparities in the rural Central Valley by training the next generation of family physicians to serve underserved communities with compassion, competence, and resourcefulness.

We aspire to educate and train competent and compassionate family physicians who can provide evidence-based and value-based full-spectrum patient care. Our philosophy of family medicine is one that addresses the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of our patients’ health to promote and maintain overall wellness for our patients and their families. We believe we have been given a special opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting impact to the populations we serve, especially the vulnerable and underserved communities who need our help.
