One Foundation, Greater Impact Across Central California

One Foundation, Greater Impact Across Central California

For decades, generous Adventist Health donors have helped make healthcare advancements possible across Central California. Whether supporting new technology, expanded services, or access to lifesaving care close to home, philanthropy has played an important role in strengthening healthcare across our region.

Today, we are pleased to share an exciting new chapter in that work.

The Central Valley Health Foundation in our northern region and the philanthropy functions in our southern region have officially united under one name: Adventist Health Central California Foundation. The Foundation will support philanthropic initiatives across the entire Adventist Health Central California Network.

Stronger together

This change reflects the reality that we are one network serving multiple communities across Central California. By uniting our philanthropy efforts, we can better align resources, strengthen stewardship, and create even greater opportunities for donors to make a meaningful impact.

Most importantly, while our name has changed, our commitment to local communities has not.

Donors may continue to support the Adventist Health hospitals, clinics, programs, and services that matter most to them. Gifts designated for a specific community, facility, or initiative will remain local and be used for the purpose that the donor chooses. This commitment to honoring donor intent remains at the heart of everything we do.

By working together under one Foundation, we can enhance collaboration while ensuring that every donation continues to benefit our local communities.

Making a difference across the region

Thanks to the generosity of donors, community leaders, and businesses, important projects are already underway that will improve access to healthcare for thousands of people throughout Central California.

Expanding heart care at Adventist Health Hanford

The Adventist Health Central California Foundation is helping support a transformational expansion of heart care services at Adventist Health Hanford. The project includes expanding cardiac catheterization labs to increase access to advanced care for patients throughout the region. When completed, more patients will be able to receive timely treatment close to home when every minute matters. Community support for this effort has been remarkable. More than $3 million has already been committed toward the Foundation's $10 million fundraising goal, bringing the project one step closer to reality.

Completing the Adventist Health Tulare Tower

Another important priority is completing the first and second floors of the Tulare Tower. Once complete, the tower will house advanced emergency services, imaging, surgical services, endoscopy, pathology, and other critical clinical functions designed to meet the growing healthcare needs of the community. The Tulare Tower will become one of the most modern healthcare facilities along Highway 99, helping ensure community members have access to innovative, patient-centered care for generations to come.

Growing specialty and cancer care in Bakersfield

Donor support is also helping expand access to specialty and cancer care in Kern County through the Advanced Care Pavilion adjacent to the Adventist Health AIS Cancer Center. This 20,000-square-foot facility is expected to serve approximately 45,000 patients annually and will help bring additional specialty-trained physicians, advanced diagnostics, and precision medicine services to the region. By creating a more coordinated care experience, the facility will also help reduce wait times and improve access to specialized treatment.

Investing in the future of healthcare

These projects represent just a few examples of how philanthropy is helping shape the future of healthcare across Central California.

Every donation, large or small, helps strengthen local healthcare services, support innovative programs, expand access to care, and improve the patient experience for families throughout our communities.

As the Adventist Health Central California Foundation moves forward under one name, we remain committed to being trusted stewards of every gift and ensuring donor generosity creates a lasting impact where it is needed most.
