A Champion of Philanthropy: Lauren Day Named “Woman of the Year”
Adventist Health in Central California is honored to celebrate Lauren Day, philanthropy executive, for being named the 2026 “Woman of the Year” by the Tulare Kings Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The recognition reflects her unwavering commitment to helping expand access to high-quality healthcare across Central California.
Day accepted the honor at the chamber’s Awards Gala on February 27, 2026, surrounded by community leaders, partners, and colleagues who’ve witnessed firsthand the impact of her outstanding work. Over the past several years, she’s become a driving force behind transformative healthcare initiatives that are improving and saving lives throughout Tulare and Kings counties.
Transforming access to care
At the heart of Day’s leadership is a passion for connecting generosity with purpose. Through her strategic vision and deep-rooted community partnerships, she has helped secure millions of dollars in philanthropic support to bring critical services closer to home, especially for rural and underserved populations.
Among her most notable achievements is her leadership surrounding an historic $7 million fundraising effort benefiting the Corcoran community and surrounding areas. This includes funding for home dialysis units that allow patients to receive treatment in the comfort of their homes, a permanent PET/CT scanner to enhance early detection of cancer and other diseases, and a 3D mobile mammography unit that expands access to lifesaving breast cancer screenings across the region.
Expanding impact across the Central Valley
Her impact extends well beyond a single initiative. Day has also supported fundraising efforts for the expansion of heart care services in Tulare and Kings counties, including a major campaign to enhance cardiac catheterization lab services in Kings County, ensuring patients have access to advanced care without needing to travel long distances. She has also championed mobile care programs that bring essential health services directly into communities and has helped fund equipment and programs that support both patients and healthcare teams during times of need.
Furthermore, her leadership of programs such as Grateful Patients has created meaningful ways for individuals to give back and honor the caregivers who’ve made a difference in their lives.
