At Adventist Health Tillamook, quality isn’t just a standard we meet — it’s a promise we keep. Whether you’re stepping into one of our clinics, riding in one of our ambulances or being treated in our hospital, you can trust that the care you receive is rooted in excellence, compassion and strict adherence to the highest safety standards.
We hold ourselves accountable to rigorous state and federal regulations that guide every part of our work. Our hospital meets and exceeds the standards set by the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and The Joint Commission — each with exacting requirements for safety, infection control, clinical documentation and patient outcomes. These benchmarks ensure that every patient receives care that is evidence-based, ethically sound and consistently evaluated for improvement.
Our ambulance services operate under a delegated practice model, following the same clinical protocols used throughout the tri-county area. We also adhere to hospital quality standards that prioritize safe, high-quality pre-hospital care. With a focus on continuous improvement, our teams work to meet high expectations for trauma scene response times and advanced airway management — delivering fast, effective emergency care across the diverse and rural settings of Tillamook County.
In our primary and specialty care clinics, our commitment to quality shows up in the small details: how we check and manage medications, coordinate care between specialists, ensure accurate documentation and meet HIPAA privacy requirements. We're also certified as a Rural Health Clinic (RHC) by CMS, meeting stringent guidelines designed to make care accessible, effective and safe for the rural communities we serve.
Beyond meeting these standards, we continue to invest in our future — upgrading our technology, replacing aging devices and refining internal processes. Recent improvements include the implementation of the Pyxis medication dispensing system and the integration of BD Alaris IV pump technology — both designed to reduce errors and improve the accuracy of patient care. Additional safety enhancements, like our upcoming electronic health record system through Epic, will streamline workflows and bring new capabilities for even better outcomes.
For us, quality isn’t just compliance — it’s our culture. It’s how we honor the trust you place in us, every visit, every time.
